AMS is a qualified Mediator with accreditation from four industry organisations: School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (SPCRCL) at Regent’s College London; the ADR Group (ADRg) (Alternative Dispute Resolution training), the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), and the International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) concerning conflict resolution for international organisations.
She conducts mediation training and the skills she teaches can be used in every-day life.
AMS’s approach to resolving disputes through mediation draws on both her knowledge of psychology and her experience in the practice of the skills of mediation.
So she brings another dimension to the resolution of disputes which blends not only her legal and commercial experience in disputes but also her insight into the psychology of conflict.
This approach is different from the approach of traditional mediators. She demonstrates the effectiveness of applying her combined skills to unravel the underlying difficulties which can prevent parties from seeing the interests-based resolution of their disputes.
Through her communication skills and her genuine use of empathy, AMS gains the parties’ trust and enables them to overcome any obstacles in the way of reaching a mutually satisfactory solution.
AMS acts as a Mediator or Co-Mediator in shipping and commercial disputes and has successfully assisted parties to reach settlement in employment, property, partnership, and insurance, disputes.
